Marian Medical’s GO GREEN, Blood Administration Set is a syringe set designed for blood banks that use Sterile Docking Technology for the preparation and delivery of small aliquots of whole blood, red cells and platelets with a 150-micron filter. It is a cost effective, environmentally friendly, spike-less system that maximizes the usage of adult size units of blood with sterile connection and single donor exposure for the neonatal/pediatric patient. The system comes with a BD™ syringe that is accurately identified and compatible with ALL IV pumps.
- It is estimated that the neonatal/pediatric patient population alone contributes to over 21 thousand unused blood spikes a month that are discarded into bio-hazard containers. Annually, that amounts to over 250 thousand unused blood spikes.
